Chris Brown apparently still doesn't want people to like him.

After slowly getting back into the public's good graces following his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna, Brown got tempers flaring again on Wednesday when he posted a picture of himself dressed as a terrorist for Halloween.

"Ain't nobody f------ wit my clique," he wrote as the caption on Twitter, where he posted a picture of himself with several friends who were also dressed as terrorists. After Brown was criticized for the costume online, his mom and manager came to her son's defense on Twitter as well. "Halloween is fun. Nothing more than just fun. Get a life please," she wrote. So does this mean when we dress our kids as Satan we [are] glorifying him or [is] it just out of fun?"

She wore what? The best celebrity Halloween costumes

It's unclear why the 23-year-old felt the need to share his controversial ensemble with the world after his slow road back to redemption in the public eye. His third studio album, Graffiti, which was released seven months after the domestic-violence incident with Rihanna, went on to sell just under 350,000 copies. However, his two most recent albums, 2011's F.A.M.E. and 2012's Fortune, both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. In 2011, Brown again lost brownie points with the public when he stormed off stage and shattered a window in his dressing room at Good Morning America.

Coincidentally, Brown was in court Thursday in Los Angeles for a hearing stemming from his 2009 assault.

What do you think of Brown's Halloween costume? Is it all in good fun or did he go too far?
