As Anson, the villain who burned Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and is now blackmailing him to unleash a computer virus on the CIA, the TV vet seems to be having the time of his life. He brings wit, charm and malice to what could've been a standard bad-guy role.
Burns has pulled off a tricky transition from generic sitcom costar (Dear John, Something So Right) to quality cable-drama character actor, following his impressive performances as a rehab group leader on Breaking Bad and a sleazeball gangster on Justified. What's next — a reunion with Dear John's Judd Hirsch on Damages? We wouldn't object to that.
What did you think of Burn Notice's midseason premiere?
