As a prison guard-turned-bartender, the Academy-Award nominated actor (Jackie Brown) and costar of The Descendants deserves more to do on Fox's new fantasy procedural than occasionally counsel his cop surrogate niece (Sarah Jones) on cases of escaped convicts. Let him pursue fugitives like he used to do as Carla Gugino's marshal dad on the too-short-lived Karen Sisco!
What Forster really ought to do is escape from Alcatraz and make a break for Justified, which begins its third season on FX tonight. After Jackie Brown and Karen Sisco, he has proven himself an expert interpreter of Elmore Leonard's work. And Timothy Olyphant's Raylan Givens could use a father figure, given what a lowlife his dad (Raymond J. Barry) has always been. For Forster, a gig on such an excellent show would truly be Justified.
