Returning to the network where he first became a TV star on Eight is Enough, Macchio has emerged, along with Kirstie Alley, as Season 11's most likable contestant, thanks to his self-deprecating sense of humor. The 49-year-old actor dedicated this week's rhumba (set to the tune of "Stay Gold," from his breakthrough movie The Outsiders), to Phyllis, his wife of 24 years. That's sure to win favor with Dancing's older female audience. Len and Bruno might not have been blown away, but somewhere, Mr. Miyagi is smiling.
