Matt Bomer, call your agent.

Charlie Hunnam will not be playing Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," Universal Pictures said in a statement.

Fifty Shades of Grey fans start petition over Dakota Johnson, Charlie Hunnam castings

In early September, Universal announced that it had cast the Sons of Anarchystar and Dakota Johnson to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, the protagonists of the racy novel about a dominant-submissive relationship. In response, a petition on Change.org called for Bomer and Alexis Bledel to be cast. The petition currently has 86,562 signatures.

In a TVGuide.com poll, 48 percent of users thought Johnson and Hunnam were not right for the roles. Eleven percent said that they were on board with Johnson, but not Hunnam.

Are you sad that Hunnam won't be playing Christian Grey? Who do you think should replace him?
