Pilot Season: One Tree Hill's Chad Michael Murray to Star in ABC's Scruples

Chad Michael Murray is returning to TV in ABC's new fashion pilot Scruples.

In the drama, a socialite (Claire Forlani) in the '70s tries to open a fashion-forward boutique in Beverly Hills after her husband dies. The One Tree Hill star will portray Spider, a photographer and partner in the new business endeavor. As previously announced, Boris Kodjoe, Karine Vanasse, Noot Seear and Jessica McNamee will also star.

Murray is best-known for playing Lucas Scott on The CW's OTH. His other credits include Dawson's Creek, A Cinderella Story and Freaky Friday.

Natalie Portman, in her first foray into TV, executive-produces the drama based on the Judith Krantz novel. Bob Brush and Mel Harris adapted the pilot.
