Celine Dion is bravely working through a tough time, after her husband René Angélil and brother Daniel Dion died of cancer just days apart in January. After some well-deserved silence, the singer released a statement to the media from her website on Friday.
"My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days," her letter read. "We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time... more than you'll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
A memorial to Dion's husband is scheduled for Feb. 3 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Dion is scheduled to resume performances there as part of her residency on Feb. 23 after canceling two performances in this month.
