Celebrity Big Brother Had Contestants "Build the Wall" in Offensive Challenge

Fans found the politically-charged spectacle distasteful

Celebrity Big Brother in the U.K. is under fire from fans offended by a tasteless task contestants had to perform.

This season of the reality competition series has a "presidential" theme, since Stormy Daniels, the porn performer with whom Donald Trump allegedly had an affair, was supposed to be in the cast. She dropped out at the last minute, but the theme stayed. And it really shouldn't have, because it led to this sequence in Sunday's episode, as BuzzFeed reports, where contestants had to "build a wall" in the Big Brother house's backyard to keep intruders from jumping over and grabbing "green cards."

If that sounds bad, just wait until you see contestants Hardeep Singh Kohli and Natalie Nunn dressed as "border patrol guards."

Members of the production team wearing masks, including one dressed as Trump, jumped over the wall -- which had an American flag pattern -- and grabbed green cards.

One houseguest, actress Roxanne Pallett, refused to participate, saying "this is not okay."

Fans agreed, pointing out that the bit made light of a very serious issue in the United States, where migrant families were being separated at the border as a result of the Trump administration's racist and inhumane border policy.

Not a good look, Celebrity Big Brother.
