Cee Lo Green Developing Family Sitcom for NBC

From singer to reality judge to sitcom star? That looks like the plan for Cee Lo Green. The Voice judge is in final negotiations to develop his own scripted comedy with NBC, Deadline reports.Green would star and executive-produce the series, inspired by his relationship with his ex-wife and kids. No word if Purrfect the Cat would also appear.

Though an intriguing premise, it's hard to imagine Green's outrageous outfits translating well to a multi-camera comedy. Maybe the "Crazy" singer will have to tone down his looks for TV.The project, which will be written by Everybody Hates Chris co-creator Ali Leroi, would be the first television role for Green, who first tried his hand at acting in this summer's feature film Sparkle. His Voice co-star Adam Levine will make his acting debut this fall on FX's American Horror Story: Asylumas one half of a doomed couple known as "The Lovers."Would you watch a Cee Lo Green sitcom?
