That's a lot of Chuck Lorre!
Another year, another season of Chuck Lorre dominating the airwaves. CBS has ordered new seasons of a pair of Lorre's shows, Mom and Mike & Molly, as well as 2 Broke Girls.
The 17 ways Rachel from Friends changed '90s fashion
The network announced the renewals Thursday, but news had leaked out on social media earlier on Wednesday, first with an Instagram photo from a Mike & Molly producer, and then with a tweet by Mom writer Sheldon Bull. Both were quickly deleted, but this is the Internet age when nothing ever dies.
None of the renewals comes as much of a surprise. Mike & Molly will enter its sixth season as a reliable comedy for CBS, thanks in part to its leading lady Melissa McCarthy. Mom is a favorite of critics, and has some Emmy hardware thanks to co-star Allison Janney. And 2 Broke Girls, currently in its fourth season, has been performing well in the Monday night time slot formerly occupied by How I Met Your Mother.
The news will give Lorre three comedies on CBS next season, with The Big Bang Theory being the third. That's down from four comedies this season, as Two and a Half Men came to an end last month.
Which renewal are you most excited about?
