Is it canceled?

The Odd Couple is calling it after 13 episodes this season. CBS will not be ordering any more episodes of the Monday night comedy, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The 13-episode season isn't an unfamiliar thing for The Odd Couple, as it rung up that same number in its first two seasons as well. But since the show entered the schedule in the midseason in its first two seasons, more episodes weren't really an option. Season 3 marked the first chance The Odd Couple had to get a proper full season, but CBS decided to pass. Deadline was the first to report the news.

Is Matt LeBlanc up for a Friends reunion with Matthew Perry?

CBS insists that The Odd Couple isn't canceled and remains able to get a fourth season next year. But with declining ratings, its chances to return to the schedule aren't great. CBS still has midseason comedy Superior Donuts to debut early next year, as well as four dramas waiting in the wings.

The Odd Couple stars Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon in a remake of Neil Simon's popular play and classic television series of the same name.

The news follows CBS' recent announcement that it would not be ordering more episodes of its medical drama Pure Genius.

The Odd Couple airs Monday nights at 9:30/8:30c on CBS.
