CBS has been ordered to pay $10.45 million to the family of a security guard who was killed on the set of NCISTheWrap reports.

Julio Villamariona was killed three years ago on the NCIS set in Santa Clarita, Calif., after he was struck by a van carrying cast and crew members whose driver had passed out behind the wheel, according to TheWrap. He was 52. The judgment was awarded to his widow and three children.

Villamariona's family filed a lawsuit against CBS Corp. and the driver, Ralph Blunt, in 2012, seeking $30 million. CBS Corp. admitted that Blunt had been negligent.

"The size of the verdict is a testament to what a great father and husband Julio Villamariona was," the attorney for Villamariona's family told TheWrap in a statement. "I am amazed CBS would fight this case all the way through trial when they admitted their employee killed an innocent person."
