Contrary to previous reports, CBS will not seek compensation from the technology companies Ashton Kutcher promoted on Monday's episode of Two and a Half Men, a network rep tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Kutcher's character, Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, was seen using a laptop that was decorated with stickers for Foursquare, Flipboard, Hipmunk, GroupMe and Chegg. The actor holds personal investments in all five companies.

"Check out @aplusk showing some @foursquare & @GroupMe laptop-sticker love on Two & a Half Men," Foursquare CEO Dennis Crowley tweeted during the episode, linking to a screenshot.

Although the stickers made sense for the character, reports following the broadcast said that CBS planned to blur the decals in future episodes should the companies refuse to pay for product placement. CBS now says that was never true, but adds that it is policy to disclose any financial interests in these companies, like Kutcher's, at the end of the broadcast.
