CBS has bought the adaptation of the Israeli series, Life Isn't Everything, Deadline reports.

The comedy follows a recently divorced couple who continue to stay involved in each other's lives. "You can't divorce your ex," creator Daniel Lappin explains about the series. "There is such a high divorce rate in the U.S., and no one has been able to capture the funny side of divorce."

Lappin will continue to stay involved in the series and will co-write the script with Friends alum Mike Sikowitz.

Life Isn't Everything is Israel's most successful sitcom and is in its ninth and final season.
