The Official Castle Rock Trailer Will Give You Nightmares

We had been anxiously waiting the arrival of the full trailer for Hulu's eerie new Stephen King-inspired series Castle Rock, but now we kind of regret watching it. Although we got less than three minutes of footage, the combination of Bill Skarsgard and a bunch of creepy masks is more than enough to give us nightmares until the psychological-horror show premieres later this month.

Set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock weaves together characters and themes from King's various works into a new story set in the fictional town of Castle Rock. Bill Skarsgard (IT, Hemlock Grove) continues to prove himself to be the scariest Skarsgard brother in this new role as The Kid, an enigmatic inmate discovered in a cage underneath the infamous Shawshank prison. No one knows how he got there, and he can't say.

Whoever The Kid is, he definitely knows something about all the mysterious and messed up stuff that seems to be happening around Castle Rock -- including those aforementioned masks, people driving cars off cliffs and just general spookiness. We'll probably have to wait until Castle Rock premieres Wednesday, July 25 on Hulu to find out what this all means, though.
