This Alias Star Is Checking Into Chicago Med for a Heartbreaking Role

One of SD-6's members is moving to Chicago.

Alias star Carl Lumbly has signed on for a recurring role on Chicago Med, as the husband of S. Epatha Merkerson's character, TVLine reports.

Merkerson plays Sharon Goodwin, the head of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, and Lumbly will play Bert, a once vibrant man who suffers a sudden physical ailment that affects both his relationship with his wife and the hospital she leads.

Lumbly recently appeared on Zoo and The Returned.

Chicago Med premieres on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 9/8c on NBC.
