May is the worst month to be a bubble show. After plenty of renewals in April, there were only a handful of openings left on the networks' upcoming fall schedules come May, and the shows that were still in limbo had to fight with shiny new shows to claim those spots. The medical drama Brilliant Minds and the mockumentary sitcom Stumble were canceled at NBC, and the comedy Going Dutch was canceled at Fox. But some broadcast dramas and comedies managed to survive the month: ABC's RJ Decker, Fox's Murder in a Small Town, and NBC's The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and Law & Order were each renewed, leaving only one network TV show waiting to learn its fate — which has since been decided. (Head here for a complete status report on the broadcast TV season, including which of your favorites have been renewed and which have been canceled.)

While the scripted shows were sweating it out, Fox renewed a dozen reality series, including The Masked Singer and Hell's Kitchen, and Bravo ordered more of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Elsewhere on cable and streaming, Apple TV wants more of Margo's Got Money Troubles, Hulu is praising The Testaments, Prime Video is reaching for another season of Reacher, HBO's Harry Potter series has officially been renewed, and Netflix is bringing back plenty of series, including Running Point and Love Is Blind

In sadder news, a handful of shows are ending after their upcoming seasons: FX's The Bear and Netflix's Emily in Paris, The Night Agent, and The Lincoln Lawyer.

Whether you're looking to celebrate your favorites or mourn the loss of something on your regular rotation, we kept tabs on all the shows that were canceled or renewed in May below.
