Bryan Cranston Returning to How I Met Your Mother

He is the one who returns: Bryan Cranston will reprise his role as Ted's former boss Hammond Druthers on How I Met Your Mother later this season, CBS announced Wednesday.

The Breaking Bad star appeared in two episodes in Season 2 as Ted's pompous, reviled boss-turned-co-worker. He designed a penis-shaped building and was later fired by Ted (Josh Radnor) after Hammond was served divorce papers and while he was having a heart attack (which Ted thought was fake).

Cranston is one of a handful of former HIMYM guest stars returning for the show's ninth and final season. Others include John Lithgow, Frances Conroy and Wayne Brady — and you can expect more.
