David Marshall Grant has been named the showrunner of Brothers & Sisters, replacing Monica Breen and Alison Schapker, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
A show rep tells us that Breen and Schapker, who have been showrunners since the end of the WGA writers' strike, will remain as executive producers of the show and will continue to be "involved in the daily creative development of the series."

Grant joined the show during its second season as a writer and co-executive producer. He is also an actor who played Anne Hathaway's father in The Devil Wears Prada
and, as Russell Weller on thirtysomething
was one-half of one of the first recurring gay couples on television. The boss' office at Brothers & Sisters
has had a bit of a revolving door: Original executive producer/showrunner Marti Noxon stepped down early in the first season due to conflict with creator Jon Robin Baitz. Greg Berlanti teamed with Baitz to finish that season, but Berlanti then left the show to develop other projects for the network. Baitz was replaced by Mark B. Perry, who ran the show until the writers' strike, when Breen and Shapker took over.
