The squad from the Nine-Nine will have a beast of a time cracking a witness for information in an upcoming episode.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine will welcome guest star Marshawn Lynch, the just-retired Seattle Seahawks running back with the "Beast Mode" nickname, into its winter finale airing Sunday, Jan. 1. Lynch will find himself as a witness to several convicts escaping a police van while in New York, and will be brought into the precinct to make a statement. But given Lynch's past with giving statements to the media, it may be tough.
Lynch won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in the 2013-2014 season with his bruising style of running the football, but Lynch became just as well-known for his curious behavior on and off the field. In addition to professing his love for Applebee's, Lynch found an accidental cross-promotion opportunity when it was learned that he loves to eat Skittles while playing.
But he became most associated with his contentious relationship with the press, culminating in his appearance at Super Bowl Media Day in 2015 where he answered every question with "I'm just here so I don't get fined."
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.
