What do cocktails, guitars and wedding cakes have in common? They're all made out of hair on Oxygen's new reality competition, Hair Battle Spectacular, in which 10 top stylists from around the country create fantasy-inspired hairdos as they compete for $100,000 (Tuesdays, 10/9c).  Host Brooke Burns says the show is a perfect fit for her." I have been very adventurous with my own hairstyles," she tells TV Guide Magazine. "One of my favorite things is giving an artist an opportunity to make some cash doing what they love."
Each week, the designers face themed challenges to push their imaginations to the limit. "We have a wedding-themed show, create-an-invention of the future show, and a toy show where they have to incorporate a moving toy [in their 'do]," says Burns. "We throw everything at them and the creativity that comes out of these guys was really inspirational." Her favorite design comes from the rock-and-roll theme. "There was a guitar that was stunningly created in black, red and silver. It looked like you could walk into a guitar center and pick it up and buy it," she says.
And if she could have any fantasy hairdo herself? "It would be really cool to have a dancer made out of hair in some beautiful pose as a tribute to my upbringing as a ballerina."
