Walter White defeated Gus Fring in the Breaking Bad season finale and his winning streak is not about to end there.

"This year ... what you're going to see new is Walt winning," executive producer and creator Vince Gilligan says in this exclusive clip. "Gus Fring is dead and Walt is the new kingpin."

When Season 5 of the AMC series premieres, Walt (Bryan Cranston) will be right where he left off — mere minutes following this scene. And, as Gilligan adds, Jesse (Aaron Paul) will be back at his side.

"Jesse, this season, is reinvested," Gilligan says. "In seasons past [he] has been at extreme loggerheads with his former mentor, his former high school chemistry teacher, [but] Jesse is now seeing Walt with very different eyes."
