Brad Pitt Says He Has Face Blindness

Brad Pitt seems to have it all — except the ability to remember who you are.

In a recent interview with Esquire, the actor revealed he believes he has prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness. "So many people hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them," Pitt confessed.

One year ago, Pitt decided to "cop" to forgetting people in an attempt to help the situation, but it only made things worse. "People were more offended. Every now and then, someone will give me context, and I'll say, 'Thank you for helping me.' But I piss more people off," the actor said. "You get this thing, like 'You're being egotistical. You're being conceited.' But it's a mystery to me, man. I can't grasp a face and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view."

Pitt said he plans to get tested for the condition, but in the meantime he's does his best to avoid offending more people. "That's why I stay home," he said.
