Jake Gyllenhaal's pulse-pounding thriller Nightcrawler and the supernatural horror film Ouija essentially tied at the box office over Halloween weekend,Box Office Mojo reports.

Both films grossed an estimated $10.9 million this weekend. Brad Pitt's Fury followed close behind at No. 3 with $9.1 million.

Gone Girl remained in fourth place and brought in another $8.8 million, bringing its total gross to $136 million. The Book of Life also held steady at No. 5 with $8.3 million.

Keanu ReevesJohn Wick fell from No. 2 to No. 6 in its second week with $8.0 million, while Bill Murray's St. Vincent drew $7.7 million to come in seventh.

Rounding out the top 10 were Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (No. 8, $6.4 million), The Judge (No. 9, $3.4 million), andDracula Untold (No, 10, $2.9 million).
