Box Office: Maleficent Sets New Record for Angelina Jolie

Think Like a Man Too topped a quiet weekend at the box office, whileMaleficent earned enough money to make it the highest-grossing live-action film for star Angelina Jolie, according to Box Office Mojo. The sequel to 2012's Think Like a Man took in $30 million in its opening weekend, which was enough to unseat last week's No. 1 film, 22 Jump Street, which landed in second place with $29 million.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 also fell a spot to No. 3 with $25.3 million.

Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys had a soft debut, coming in at No. 4 with $13.5 million.

In its fourth week in theaters, Maleficent earned $13 million, ending the weekend at No. 5. The haul brings Maleficent's worldwide total past $500 million to set a new box office record for Jolie. Her previous best was Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which earned $478.2 million worldwide.

At No. 6 with $10.3 million was Edge of Tomorrow, followed by teen weeper The Fault in Our Stars with $8.6 million.

Rounding out the Top 10 were X-Men: Days of Future Past (No. 8, $6. 2 million), Chef (No. 9, $1.84 million) and Godzilla (No. 10, $1.82 million).
