The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 still slayed at the box office for a third straight weekend, beating the only new major release, Krampus. Mockingjay -- Part 2 took $18.6 million for a total of just over $227 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

Krampus, a horror flick about a kid who summons a Santa that's definitely not nice, earned $16 million -- a bit of an upset since horror movies aren't exactly traditional holiday fare.
