Box Office: Home Trumps Get Hard

Home, the latest feature from DreamWorks Animation, owned the box office in its debut weekend, landing at No. 1 with $54 million, Box Office Mojo reports.

In second place was the Will Ferrell-Kevin Hart comedy Get Hard, which had a decent opening with $34.6 million.

Last week's No. 1 film, Insurgent, dropped to third place in its second week with $22 million, and Cinderella also fell two spots to No. 4 with $17.5 million.

After opening wide, the well-received horror film It Follows jumped from No. 19 to No. 5 with $4 million.

Kingsmen: The Secret Service took in $3 million, landing in sixth place, while Run All Nightfinished at No. 7 with $2.2 million.

Tightly rounding out the Top 10 were The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel(No. 8, $2.18 million), Do You Believe? (No. 9, $2.15 million), and The Gunman (No. 10, $2 million).
