Box Office: The Hobbit Kicks Off 2015 at No. 1

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies continued to dominate the box office in the first weekend of the new year, raking in $21.9 million to top the chart for the third week in a row, Box Office Mojo reports.

Into the Woods and Unbroken also held steady at Nos. 2 and 3, with $19 million and $18.3 million, respectively.

In fourth place was The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, which had a respectable debut with $15.1 million.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and Annie each dropped a spot, landing in fifth place and sixth place with $14.4 million and $11.4 million. But The Imitation Game jumped a notch to No. 7 with $8.1 million.

Rounding out the Top 10 were The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1(No. 8, $7.7 million), The Gambler (No. 9, $6.3 million) and Big Hero 6 (No. 10, $4.8 million).
