Bobbi Kristina Brown's family has been rallying around the 21-year-old since she was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Jan. 31. But in a new statement from Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father says that not all of her relatives have been around as much as they may claim to be.
"At this time it is requested that the media cease speaking with unauthorized members of the family," a statement from Bobby Brown's legal counsel reads (as obtained by Us Weekly). "The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised. Various members of the family have provided media interviews, however, none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina. None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina's treatment and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them."
Nick Gordon barred from visiting Bobbi Kristina in the hospital
The statement specifically calls out Bobbi Kristina's cousin Jerod Brown, who gave an interview earlier this week regarding her condition and her partner Nick Gordon.
"In particular, Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to makes statements and appear on television, however, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family," the statement continues. "He must be disregarded. Please do not attend any 'meet and greet' organized by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition. This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this side show."
Bobby adds: "We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers."
Since Bobbi Kristina was admitted to the hospital, there have been conflicted updates about her condition, including reports that the family would take her off life support on the three-year anniversary of her mother Whitney Houston's death. While there is very little confirmed about her condition, the police are investigation the incident.
