The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper has been promoted to host of NBC's long-running weight-loss show.

Harper, who has been with the series since Season 1, will replace Alison Sweeney, who announced last month that she's leaving The Biggest Loserafter 13 seasons. Harper will still mentor contestants periodically throughout the season, in addition to acting as host, according to NBC. Trainers Dolvett Quince and Jennifer Widerstrom are also returning for Season 17.

"I'm super excited about taking the position of host on The Biggest Loser," Harper said in a statement. "Let me tell you, the weigh-in room is going to be a completely different ballgame with me at the steering wheel."

The Biggest Loser is scheduled to begin production later this month. Do you think Harper will make a good host?
