Michael Pitt might not be the only one leaving Boardwalk Empire. TVLine.com is reporting that Paz de la Huerta will not return for the third season of HBO's award-winning drama.
Viewers last saw Nucky's former mistress Lucy Danziger (de la Huerta) hitting up Nucky for money after she had given birth to Van Alden's baby. After allegedly leaving to get formula, she never returned, leaving the baby with Van Alden (Michael Shannon).
According TV Line, HBO declined to pick up de la Huerta's contract option. A rep for the network declined comment.

Other cast members who definitely won't be returning besides Pitt are Dabney Coleman, who played Jimmy's father Commodore Louis Kaestner, and Aleksa Palladino, who portrayed Jimmy's wife Angela. All three were killed off at the end of Season 2. Boardwalk Empire has been bringing in new blood for next season, too: Bobby Cannavale has already signed on as a foil for Nucky (Steve Buscemi) in Season 3.
