We're Getting Even More Black Mirror on Netflix

Hopefully none of the stories come true this time

Sadie Gennis

Netflix has ordered a third season of the critically acclaimed anthology series Black Mirror.

The streaming service will produce 12 new episodes of Black Mirror, which was originally a British production, as a Netflix original series. Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones will return as executive producers and showrunners.

Black Mirror recently made headlines after the premise of its first episode, in which the prime minister was blackmailed into having sex with a pig, was eerily mirrored in the real-world. Current British Prime Minister David Cameron was recently reported to have engaged in sex acts with a pig while he studied at Oxford.

"It's all very exciting -- a whole new bunch of Black Mirror episodes on the most fitting platform imaginable. Netflix connects us with a global audience so that we can create bigger, stranger, more international and diverse stories than before, whilst maintaining that 'Black Mirror' feel. I just hope none of these new story ideas come true," Brooker said in a statement.
