Shailene Woodley Just Teased That a Body Goes Missing in the Big Little Lies Finale

The preview for Sunday night's finale of Big Little LiesSeason 2 (and probably the series as a whole) shows that even though all eyes are on Celeste (Nicole Kidman) and Mary Louise (Meryl Streep) as they finally face off in a custody hearing over the twins, the courtroom drama won't be the only action going down. The Monterey Five will also have to do some soul searching about the fact that the basis of their friendship is such a, well, big little lie, with great personal cost to each of them.

And according to Shailene Woodley, the show won't leave us without at least one more gasp-worthy moment.

The actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday evening, and in lieu of bringing a clip from the HBO drama to accompany her interview, Woodley was apparently allowed to reveal a slight spoiler about Big Little Lies' final episode.

"In the beginning of the next episode, all of the -- it's a little bit of a cliffhanger -- but all of the women go to visit Perry's (Alexander Skarsgård) grave, but his body's missing," she revealed. "So, there you go. It's a little bit of a nugget."

When asked by host Jimmy Kimmel whether the matter would be left open ended enough to justify a third season, Woodley clarified that this all goes down at the top of the episode. "So you still have an hour to figure it out," she said, as Kimmel teased her about misusing the word "cliffhanger."

While the body may have just been exhumed for the investigation, there's no way to rule out the possibility that someone -- we're side-eyeing Mary Louise here -- could have done a little grave robbing. In any case, it sounds like the ladies are in for one last whodunnit mystery on Big Little Lies.

The Season 2 finale of Big Little Lies airs Sunday, July 21 at 9/8c on HBO.
