Get the first details on the new spin-off
The first details of the all-digital version of Big Brother were announced by CBS on Thursday.
Big Brother: Over the Top, which will air exclusively on CBS All Access, will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 10/9c when a new batch of houseguests move in.
Julie Chen will host the 10-week season, which will be re-imagined for its new online home. That means viewers will have more opportunities to interact with the houseguests and impact the series, all without losing features BB fans love, such as the live feeds, the ability to chat and impact votes.
In addition to the 24/7 feeds -- which will now include all the ceremonies and competitions -- Big Brother: Over the Top will feature a weekly one-hour episode that will show the live evictions. The last houseguest remaining at the end of the season will win $250,000, compared to Big Brother's typical $500,000 grand prize.
The original version of Big Brother, which was recently renewed for two more seasons, will continue to air in the summers.
