Big Brother 21 Fans Accuse Production of Helping Jackson Win the Power of Veto

Big Brother 21 fans are calling foul after Wednesday's Power of Veto competition. This week's POV was the most important one of the season since whoever won the Veto would not only determine the nominations but also be the sole deciding vote for eviction.

The POV was a physical, mental, and skill competition, with the houseguests tasked with revealing a statement and then using an oversized slingshot to launch balls at the photos of the houseguests that do not apply to the statement. Once the faces of the houseguests who did apply to the statement were showing, the competitors had to buzz in their answer. The houseguest who managed to answer three statements correctly in the fastest time would win the Power of Veto. Simple, right?

Apparently, things weren't so simple for Jackson Michie.

Although Jackson did win the competition -- therefore securing his spot in the final three and all but assuring the eviction of fan-favorite Cliff -- some viewers are accusing production of giving Jackson an unfair advantage. As seen on the live feeds on Saturday, Jackson told his fellow houseguests that he initially misinterpreted the instructions, knocking down the photos of houseguests that the statement did apply to, rather than the ones it didn't. "I knocked down f---ing five faces," Jackson recalled. "They kept saying 'did not receive a punishment,' and I'm like 'yeah, I know, I know.' And they go, 'did not receive.' And I'm like oh sh--!"

This has led several Big Brother fans to accuse production of getting too involved and helping Jackson -- who fans previously accused production of protecting in sanitized edits, as well as for allowing him to get away with cheating on the Have Not food requirements -- to secure his safety. However, in the video of Jackson explaining how production kept repeating the rules to him, Nicole and Holly can be heard saying "same" and "yeah" to Jackson's story. This could very well mean that production provided the same clarification to all the houseguests, not just Jackson. But some jaded Big Brother fans interpret Holly and Nicole's words as examples of active listening and/or agreeing with how confusing the rules were to interpret, insisting that this does not disprove the allegations that production crossed a line and helped Jackson make it to finale night.
