BH90210 'Revival' Recruits Christine Elise, aka Emily Valentine

Will Brandon's bad girlfriend still be bad?

Another former Beverly Hills, 90210 cast member is coming along for the pseudo-revival of the show, BH90210. Christine Elise, who played Emily Valentine for 12 episodes over the course of the show, is joining the cast.

According to TV Line, who first broke the news, Elise is set to appear in multiple episodes of the new series playing a "heightened" version of herself. The new show tells the story of the OG 90210 cast -- Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling -- playing versions of themselves as they try to get a reboot of the series off the ground. But, according to the show's description, "getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast -- whom the whole world watched grow up together -- attempts to continue from where they left off?"

Shannen Doherty Is Officially on Board for the Beverly Hills, 90210 Revival

This is especially interesting considering that Elise played Brandon's "bad girlfriend" who had a liking for spiking his drinks (bad!) and setting parade floats on fire (also bad!) before encouraging him to go after Kelly, which was good.

And since the show is using the actors to play themselves, it'll be interesting to see if Elise and Presley's five-year relationship comes into play, considering he told The Hollywood Reporter that she was his "first full-fledged adult relationship."

BH90210 is set to premiere Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, on Fox.
