Beyoncé and Jay-Z Built Two Suites (With Mahogany Walls) in Hospital for Baby’s Birth

Beyoncé and Jay-Z gutted six to eight rooms at Lenox Hill Hospital and turned them into suites in preparation for the birth of their daughter, according to Us Weekly.The rooms featured "mahogany walls" and were empty for about a month leading up to Blue Ivy's birth on Jan. 7.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z gutted six to eight rooms at Lenox Hill Hospital and turned them into suites in preparation for the birth of their daughter, according to Us Weekly.
The rooms featured "mahogany walls" and were empty for about a month leading up to Blue Ivy's birth on Jan. 7. A hospital source says the power couple "paid to have it constructed just for them," calling the two suites "amazing."

Hospital officials released a statement amid reports that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor. "Simply not true," the hospital said, adding that the family was "housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations."
