There's no hidden camera here. NBC has canceled Neil Patrick Harris' variety series Best Time Ever, Variety reports.

Based on a British series, Best Time Ever starred Harris as the emcee for a mix of stunts and entertainment bits, games, prank segments and more, as the show aired live. Despite delivering a decent 1.7 rating among the adults 18-49 demographic, the show never quite seemed a "hit," and forced Harris to work an exhausting schedule.
