Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry and director/writer/actor Tyler Perry have been selected to host the 40th NAACP Image Awards in February.
Berry, who won an Academy Award for her role in Monster's Ball, and Perry, whose credits include Diary of a Mad Black Woman and TBS' House of Payne, are both former Image Award winners.
The ceremony, which annually honors those who promote diversity in the arts, will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Feb. 12. Fox will broadcast the event. This year's ceremony also kicks off the 100-year anniversary celebration for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Nominations for the award show will be announced Jan. 7.
