Bernadette Peters Heads to Bravo's Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce

Bernadette Peters is going from Broadway to Bravo.

The legendary stage actress has booked a guest-starring turn on the upcoming seriesGirlfriends' Guide to Divorce, the network announced Monday. Peters will play Annie, the mother of Janeane Garofalo's character Lyla, who comes to town to help her newly divorced daughter take care of her children.

The show stars Lisa Edelstein as main character Abby, and Beau Garrett as Abby and Lyla's friend Phoebe. Together, the three ladies help each other navigate back into the single life.

As previously announced, Orange Is the New Black star Laverne Cox will also guest-star in an upcoming episode as Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and LGBT advocate Adele Northrop, who presents an award at a marriage equality gala.

Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce premieres Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 10/9c on Bravo.
