Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice suffered a serious case of Kryptonite poisoning in its second weekend. The critically panned DC behemoth dropped over 68 percent from its opening weekend, but still came in at No. 1 in the weekend box office. Box Office Mojo reports that the blockbuster brought in $52 million and racked up $680 million worldwide, despite having the fifth-largest drop for any film that's grossed over $100 million.

Disney's Zootopiaheld strong at No. 2 with $20 million, bringing its cumulative total to $275 million. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2also held its position at No. 3 with just over $11 million.

Only two new releases cracked the top 10, with God's Not Dead 2 landing at No. 4 with $8.1 million and Meet the Blacks taking No. 8 with almost $4.1 million. God's Not Dead was buddied up with fellow religious fare Miracles from Heaven at No. 5 with $7.6 million.

The latest installment of the Divergent series Allegiant continued its descent down the list by falling to No. 6, pulling in a measly $5.7 million. The J.J. Abrams-produced 10 Cloverfield Lane followed at No. 7 with $4.7 million. Eye in the Sky took No. 9 ($4 million), while Deadpool clung to top 10 glory in the bottom slot with $3.5 million, bringing its domestic cumulative total to over $355 million.
