After suffering a concussion and battling chickenpox, Barbara Walters hopes to return to The View in three weeks.

Walters, 83, phoned into the ABC daytime show from her home Wednesday to discuss her return. She said that she isn't in pain, but is feeling weak. She also said she isn't "scratching too much" thanks to lots of calamine lotion. "I'm not itching away," she added.

Walters was hospitalized on Jan. 19 after fainting and cutting her head while visiting the British Ambassador's residence in Washington D.C. days before she was set to help cover President Obama's Inauguration. Walters said she discovered she was already suffering from chickenpox and a fever when she went to the hospital. She suffered a concussion and received six stiches before being released 10 days later.
