Bachelor alum Jake Pavelka says he broke up with Vienna Girardi because of "trust issues," but he denies that Girardi was unfaithful to him.

In a new interview with People magazine, Pavelka, 32, said that there were "a lot of red flags" in the couple's three-month relationship, which had been rocky for a while. It culminated in a breakup on Monday, which Pavelka said he initiated over the phone while he was filming Drop Dead Diva in Atlanta.

Despite the split, Pavelka said he had "no regrets" about proposing to Girardi, 24, and still "believes in love." "In the end, what I've learned is, it doesn't matter if you love somebody — that doesn't fill 95 percent of the relationship," he said.

ABC to interview Bachelor exes Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi together

Pavelka and Girardi, who denied she cheated on Twitter, will reunite at least one more time for a joint interview with ABC, the network announced Wednesday. The interview will air during the July 5 episode of The Bachelorette.
