Turning Twitter feeds into TV shows is so last week.

Continuing the trend of mining the Internet for TV ideas, ABC and Sony Pictures are developing a sitcom based on the website and book Awkward Family Photos, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Contractually, the show will work primarily from the book — which was spawned from the site and contains the same content — but it is unclear how the concept will translate into a series.

CBS has already launched $#*! My Dad Says, based on the popular Twitter feed, and last week announced a development deal with another Twitter feed, Shh ... Don't Tell Steve.

Created by Mike Bender and Doug Chernack, Awkward Family Photos is "a friendly place where everyone could come together and share their uncomfortable family moments," according to the site

. Initially, only Bender and Chernack posted their own awkward childhood photos, but the site now "receives millions of hits daily and submissions from around the world."Bender and Chernack will serve as executive producers on the show, alongside Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development), who will also direct. Moses Port and David Guarascio (Just Shoot Me) are attached as writers and producers.Would you watch Awkward Family Photos?
