Ash vs. Evil Dead Renewed Ahead of Premiere

Starz has ordered a second season of Ash vs. Evil Dead ahead of its series premiere, the network announced.

Original The Evil Deadstar Bruce Campbell will return for Season 2 as Ash Williams, along with Lucy Lawless, who plays Ruby in the Starz series. Showrunner Craig DiGregorio and Evil Dead filmmakers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will also return.

"One season isn't enough to satisfy the fans' two decade-long appetite for more Ash," Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik said in a statement. "The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can't end with season one."

Ash vs. Evil Dead's 10-episode first season premieres on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 9/8c on Starz.
