It's about time!

When The CW announced that Colton Haynes would be returning to Arrowas a series regular in Season 7, no one could have predicted that his storyline would take place predominantly in flash-forwards set 20 years in the future where he's got gray hair and whiskers. Now, though, it looks like we'll be getting the younger version of Roy Harper back as well.

The synopsis for Arrow Episode 20, titled "Confessions," reveals that the team will seek out Roy in 2019 to help with the present-day threats to Star City. "When they learn of an upcoming attack on the city, Team Arrow calls Roy Harper to help them stop the Ninth Circle. However, things go awry, and there is massive collateral damage," the synopsis reads.

Uh oh. Collateral damage on Arrow usually comes in the form of collapsed buildings and major character deaths. We can assume that Roy makes it out of this encounter alive since we've seen him in the previously mentioned flash-forwards, but we still don't know exactly what led him to post up at Lian Yu when William (Ben Lewis) found him at the beginning of Season 7. Here's hoping this episode fills in some of those holes!

Arrow airs Mondays at 9/8c on The CW.
