Spartacus' Manu Bennett Lands Major Arrow Role

It's time to meet the man behind the mask!

Spartacusstar Manu Bennett hand landed a multi-episode arc on Arrow, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Bennett will play Slade Wilson, otherwise known as the man who eventually becomes Deathstroke. The DC Comics villain has already appeared on The CW series during a flashback, but he was masked and portrayed by a different actor.

As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, Slade will be seen during flashbacks as he forms a loose alliance with Oliver (Stephen Amell) on the island.

Bennett is a New Zealand actor best known for playing the slave-turned-rebel Crixus on Spartacus. He'll also appear in two of the upcoming installments of Peter Jackson's big-screen adaptations of The Hobbit.
