Another shock jock has talked his way right out of a job. Anthony Cumia, co-host of SiriusXM's Opie & Anthony radio show, has been fired following a "hate-filled" rant on Twitter, USA Today reports.

The satellite radio company dropped the ax Thursday.

"SiriusXM has terminated its relationship with Anthony Cumia of the Opie & Anthony channel," the company said in a statement. "The decision was made, and Cumia informed, late Thursday, July 3, after careful consideration of his racially charged and hate-filled remarks on social media. Those remarks and posting are abhorrent to SiriusXM, and his behavior is wholly inconsistent with what SiriusXM represents."

Cumia's outburst on Twitter began Wednesday, when he took to the social-media service to recount a run-in he had with an African-American woman on the streets of New York City. According to Cumia, he was trying to take a picture when a woman happened to be caught in the frame of his photo. When the woman became upset about being in his photo, Cumia claims she punched him several times.

On Twitter, Cumia called the woman the C-word, a "savage," a "pig," and an "animal" in his hours-long rant. In a remark that became strangely prophetic, he also said, "There's a deep-seated problem with violence in the black community. Try to address it and you'll be exiled to Racistville. But it's real."

His Twitter feed has since been suspended, but Cumia reportedly responded to his firing with his typical bravado. "After the weekend, I'll have a better idea of things. F--- Sirius." he tweeted.

Opie & Anthony has been on the air since 1995. The show has run into plenty of controversy over its run, including a 2007 incident in which a homeless man expressed his desire to rape Condoleezza Rice and Laura Bush on the air, which got Opie & Anthony suspended for a month. There's no word whether Gregg "Opie" Hughes" will continue the radio show without Cumia.
