Agent Monica Reyes is diving back into The X-Files.
Annabeth Gish will reprise her role as Reyes for one episode of the upcoming Fox event series, Entertainment Weekly reports. The character was introduced in Season 8 of the original series with her partner, Agent John Doggett (Robert Patrick, who is currently starring on Scorpion and has no plans to return for the revival).
The X-Files event series will consist of six standalone episodes featuring FBI Agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) investigating paranormal phenomena.
Gish, who has recently appeared on Pretty Little Liars and FX's The Bridge and Sons of Anarchy, also shared the news of her return on social media Tuesday.
The X-Files event series premieres Sunday, Jan. 24 after the NFC Championship game on Fox. Will you watch? And are you happy that Reyes is coming back?
