19 Kids and Counting's Amy Duggar admits to being born out of wedlock

The news comes amid weeks of scandal for the Duggar family. In May, Josh Duggar admitted molesting young girls, including his own sisters. Last month, he checked into rehab after he admitted that he cheated on his wife Anna using an Ashley Madison account.

Amy Duggar started the year with her own negative headlines. In January, she acknowledged that she was born out of wedlock after tabloid reports surfaced. "Just because we are Christians doesn't make us perfect, it just makes us forgiven,"she said at the time.

Duggar, an aspiring country singer, and King were engaged for just over two months.
